CONNECT | HOME GROUPS
In this day and age, we have so many ways to connect -- across time, across cultures, and across the world: Facebook, Instagram, twitter, WhatsApp, email, evites, -- app and e-everything. These allow us to relate quickly with others and in mass. But there is something unique and irreplaceable about being together. The idea of having real, consistent relationships with a group of people on a common journey is not necessarily new but it is becoming more rare.
Once a week we are intentional about getting together in these smaller settings. It’s true that it forces you to slow down and to actually relate about something potentially meaningful at a depth greater than 140 characters. The whole idea is a bit counterculture but very powerful. I know some might find it frightening but sometimes we have to actually turn off our relating devices so we can actually relate with humans in the room.
These groups provide that smaller setting to get to know one another, ask questions, pray for one another, and learn together. This is also a safe place to experience being used by God. It can look very different from one week or from one group to the next but it is good for us. Small Groups are the primary way we get to know one another at the Vineyard. Many of us want to go forward with God but Sunday only touches the surface. Small groups really go a long way toward all of us growing together.
You don’t have to know anything or anybody or have a certain belief system to visit or join a small group. Just show up, listen, ask a question, make a comment, make some friends.
Our current small groups and where and when they meet is listed below. If you have more questions or require a time that is not currently available, please let us know. We are always looking for opportunities to try something new!
